Black Youth Senior Citizen Foundation is a South Central Los Angeles-based Non-Profit Organization with 501-3C status. Our organization’s foremost objective is to empower Black men and women across generations through relevant programmatic efforts.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to help improve our community and society by bridging the gap between the elderly, at risk-youths, middle-aged and young adults. Thanks to tailored programmatic efforts, our organization fulfills a void by fostering pride, responsibility with the ultimate goals of policing our own community.
PROGRAMS
Empowerment Programs
Providing drug and alcohol prevention and rehabilitation for adults and mentoring at-risk youth in Willowbrook South Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
Motivational Programs
Transcending the hustle & survival mentality of the gang culture to “How to make it” living with pride, dignity, and respect within our community.
Transition Assistance Programs
Assisting Black men and women old and young who have recently been released from jail and are transitioning back into the community.
Senior Citizen Programs
Providing classes and workshops for our senior citizens that teach them how to read
Exercise and healthy eating classes
Providing meals
Transportation to and from the hospital
Ensuring their general wellbeing is taken care of
Educational Programs
Provide tutorial services to at-risk youths
African American history classes
Civic classes
Teaching young Black men and women on how to interact with police officers & sheriffs
Teaching the community, the importance of voting
Teaching the community about co-op businesses
Basic money management classes
Best Health Practices during the Covid-19 pandemic (wash hands, wear masks, and social distancing).
